When is everything on the counter?

We aim to have all pastries and cakes out for open at 9am.

Sandwiches and focaccia come out a bit later, around 11.30am.

What time should we arrive?

Accepted Answer

We open the doors at 9am, the queue is currently shorter on weekdays (especially Tuesday and Wednesday!), so we recommend arriving at 8.30 earliest. We hate seeing people waiting out in the cold, so please don’t arrive too early!

The queue is longer and starts earlier on weekends, so we recommend arriving a little earlier. Sunday tends to be our busiest day. If you want a full selection of viennoiserie it’s best to arrive before 10am, but please remember we have a good selection up until 11ish.

These are all guidelines, we can’t predict how quickly the counter will empty and we’re doing our best to serve everyone as promptly and fairly as possible.

Do we make any Gluten Free pastries or cakes?

Due to our rotational menu, we may at some points have products that don’t contain gluten, however due to the size and nature of our kitchen we can’t recommend these to anyone with a severe intolerance, allergy, or celiac disease. We also can’t guarantee there will be anything without gluten on the menu at any given time.

Are our pastries Halal?

Some of our pastries contain alcohol, pork or gelatine.

You can view our online menu here to get an idea of which products are suitable for your dietary needs. The menu is updated online weekly.

Please also check with our Front of House team before ordering for the most up to date dietary information.

Do we allow dogs?

Unfortunately, The and Bakery and Pantry do not allow dogs, save for hard working service dogs. Thank you for understanding!

Are we accessible for wheelchairs and prams?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, Lannan Bakery is accessible! Please alert a member of the front of house team, and they’ll be happy to help you.

Unfortunately due to the existing restrictions with the building, we’re unable to provide a ramp into Lannan Pantry.

We do, physical gift cards are available for sale in the bakery and pantry.

E-gift cards can be purchased here.

Our gift cards are not immediately compatible with the pre order website, but get in touch with info@lannan.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate.

At the moment we're only able to offer shipping within the UK.

We're hoping to expand to international shipping as soon as we have the capacity to support this.

Yes, we do!

Our pre-order system is where to order your favourite viennoiserie and cakes in advance, for collection in person from Lannan Pantry.

Pre-orders are available to book and purchase between 2 and 7 days in advance. Please find pre-orders available in our Shop section.

What items will be available for pre-order?

We will always have a selection of Lannan favourites available to pre order, in addition to seasonal viennoiserie and other carefully selected products.

How far in advance can I pre-order?

Accepted Answer

Pre-orders are available for 2 days in advance at the earliest, up to 7 days in advance. For example, on a Monday, you can order a collection for as early as Wednesday morning or as late as Sunday afternoon.Any days that do not appear for selection are either unavailable or already sold out.These timescales may change with the seasons, but we will always make an effort to announce any changes before they go live.

How long will you keep my order after my pre-order collection slot?

To ensure our collection system flows without any hiccups we urge you to arrive at Lannan Pantry for your allocated collection time. Orders can be held for a maximum of 1 hour past their time slot without prior consent.If you are going to be late, please get in touch with us at info@lannan.co.uk Due to demand we will be unable to re-arrange collection times except under exceptional circumstances.

What’s the cancellation policy on pre-orders?

We politely request you double-check your order before check-out, as we’re unable to change orders after they’ve been placed.

All pre-orders are prepaid at the time of booking and non-refundable.

Where do I collect my pre order from?

Accepted Answer

The collection point for pre orders is Lannan Pantry, not Lannan Bakery.

Lannan Pantry is situated next door to Lannan Bakery so you do not need to join the queue or enter the bakery itself.

Your order will be prepared, packed and waiting for you behind the counter. Please have your name and order number ready for confirmation.

Question 18

Can I place a large pre order?

Accepted Answer

There is a limit of £70 for each order on our pre order system. If you would like to place a larger order, for a family gathering or work event for example, please get in touch with our Operations Manager at: ops@lannan.co.uk for availability and reservations.

Please note, large orders of multiple time slots made through the website without prior notice may be cancelled. Please get in touch first!

Can I pre order when I am outside the UK timezone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you certainly can!

You can use the pre order website from anywhere in the world, but you may find you have to change your time settings on your device. If you are struggling to place a pre order from outwith the UK, then change your timezone to GMT and it should process correctly.

If you have any further problems, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Your pre order will be packaged in as few boxes or packaging as possible. We can accommodate requests for additional bags and boxes, but we will have to charge a small fee for them.
